World Book Day

Dear Parent/Carer,
As part of the celebrations at Downsell Primary School for World Book Day on Thursday March 5th 2020, the children have been asked to dress as their favourite book characters. Continuing the trend from last year, each year group will have their own particular theme, for which we hope as many people as possible will be able to represent.
The themes for this year are as follows:-
EYFS – Nursery rhymes and fairy tales
Year 1 - Superheroes
Year 2 – Disney
Year 3 – Pirates
Year 4 – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Year 5 – Harry Potter
Year 6 – Jurassic Park
If for any reason, the children are unable to wear a costume that fits the theme of their year group, then another outfit that represents a book character of their choice will be fine.
