Mornings
Please remember that each activity should not be more the 15 minutes long. Activities should be quick and fun.
 
Phonics - daily for a few minutes
Play a phonic game on the computer  
Red Words
Red Words daily for a few minutes – see…
Numerals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 practice reading the words and match them to the correct numeral – make a puzzle - write the numerals and words on paper, place face down. Turn over two cards at a time. Can you read the word and do they match? If they do keep them. The winner is the person with the must sets

Reading

Choose a Fiction or an information book
Monday – choose a book to read - not too easy - challenge yourself
Tuesday – re-read – write a written description of one of the - one of the characters
Wednesday – re-read the book again this time with expression. How is the main character feeling? Write a few sentences to say how he or she is feeling.
Thursday – write a list of words to describe one of the settings
Friday – use your list from yesterday to write a few sentences describing the setting
 
Maths
Daily count forward to 50 and count back from twenty- 100 number square on the computer. Point to each numeral as you say their names. Or make your own 100 number square
Monday – ordering numerals 10, 20 or 30. Challenge – 50?
Match objects to numerals 0-10, 0-15, 0-20
Tuesday – numeral recognition https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/blast-off  10-20. Fancy a challenge? Try numerals in-between given numbers

Create your own take away number sentences using pictures
Some of the online games uses the words plus and minus. Please reinforces the words add, taking away, altogether, how many are left. Thank you.
 
Afternoons
Make an Easter hat
  • Design your hat – label
  • Make a list of all the resources that you will need
  • Now take your time to make your hat
  • Now write or say what you like or dislike about your hat. What would you change to make it better?
  • Take pictures of each stage – put on tapestry

Growth
Put a tissue into a transparent cup. Place 2-3 dry beans between the cup and tissue. Give them a good watering.
Fold two pieces of A4 paper in half. Staple. As the bean plant grows children - draw each part of a plant on a different page, using the words, first, next, then, finally.
Take pictures of each stage of growth – put on tapestry
Exercise
Don’t forget to exercise throughout the day. This can be jumping/hopping/star jumps as you count.
