Headteacher's blog - week ending 21/06/2019
25 Jun 2019
Dear Parent/Carer,
I hope you are very well and are having a relaxing weekend with your family and friends.
This week was another fantastic one for the children at Downsell where amazing memories were made.
The Year 6 children went on their residential trip to Phasels Wood where they took part in very exciting activities such as rock climbing, archery and abseiling! On their return, they were very tired but full of smiles!
A group of Year 3 and 4 children took part in the Meadow Song project as part of the Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture. They made Downsell very proud when they got called to the front to sing!
Also this week, the Whizz Kids, Fruit Monitors and Fire Register monitors went on a trip to Harry Potter World. It was absolutely amazing to see how many Harry Potter fans we have at Downsell. The children were completely mesmerised by the film set and props!
This week is going to be another busy one. We have Careers Week where the children will be visited by a Police Officer, a Scientist and our local Member of Parliament. Some of our year groups are going to Kidzania too!
See you all soon.
