Headteacher's blog - week ending 29/03/2019
01 Apr 2019
Dear all,
It has been another busy two weeks at Downsell Primary School.
Years 2 – 6 completed a first aid training session. The children learnt how to bandage and give CPR. This was an amazing experience for them and they learnt very important information. All children came home with a first aid certificate which is brilliant.
On Saturday, we had our first Easter Eggstarvaganza event. It was absolutely fantastic. The children had a wonderful time seeing the bunnies, eating ice cream and taking part in the bonnet parade. We are now looking forward to our Summer Spectacular 2019! Dates to be confirmed!
This week, we have parents consultations. I hope that you have all signed up to meet with your child's class teacher and that they will be sharing positive news with you.
On Thursday 4th April of this week there will be a non-uniform day, where all funds from the £1 donations will go towards Children with Cancer UK.
I hope this week is a good one for you and your family and I hope you all have a relaxing Easter Holiday and I look forward to seeing you when school re-opens on Tuesday 23rd April 2019.
Mr Chetty
