Headteacher's blog - week ending 15/03/2019
15 Mar 2019
Dear Parent/Carer,
It has been an exciting week at Downsell Primary School.
All week, we celebrated British Science Week and all classes have been doing different activities in class. We ended this week with a fantastic Science Fair in the hall. Thank you very much to the parents that attended to see the experiments going on.
On Monday, some Year 5 and 6 children attended a basketball competition. They got through to the next round – we are looking forward to the finals! Go Team Downsell!
On Wednesday and Thursday we had the Downsell’s Got Talent presentations to the school, parents and carers. The children were amazing! They are extremely talented and I am sure we have a future superstar amongst us!
On Thursday, 12 KS2 children attended a Sports Leaders Conference. This was a great opportunity for the children to learn how to be role models to other children.
Lastly, on Friday, children wore non-uniform day and supported red noses in celebration of Red Nose day! £172 was raised for this amazing charity
I am already looking forward to what the next week has to offer!
Have a good weekend.
