Class Malaysia enjoy Outdoor Learning Day

23 May 2017

Class Malaysia enjoyed our Outdoor Learning Day.

We began our morning with a visit
to Langthorne Park.

Our first activity was
Performance Poetry at the Ampitheatre.
The accoustics were amazing!

We worked well in our groups
to make our performances the best we could.

Next up was Art and Science.
We sketched flowers, plants, trees and bushes.

 Who knew these other plants
were just around the corner!

After that, we used our Science and Maths
skills to collect data about the wildlife
near the lake.

There were pigeons, fish and turtles.
Finally, we realised that the turtles were real!

Playtime at the park was fun!

Back at school, we continued our outdoor learning
by experimenting with clay techniques
to make our Greek Pots.

 Wedging (to get out airbubbles)

 Rolling coils for coil pots.

What an amazing day!
(Weren't we lucky with the good weather?)

Look out for our finished pots later on ...
